The Centre's electronic Weekly Ad Service provides copies of all competitor's ads which have appeared in the Globe and Mail, National Post, Province, and Vancouver Sun, as well as other print and electronic sources during the previous week, for an annual fee. The Centre has a collection of 50 business periodicals and four daily newspapers. We also have access to full-text electronic databases for these and many other newspapers.
Periodicals are routed to Central 1 staff members, in the B.C. region, upon request. Some, but not all, periodicals can also circulate to B.C. credit union staff. [See the PERIODICALS].
The Centre's collection of print materials includes approximately 500 publications, covering a wide range of topics of interest in the financial industry. Included in the print collection are books, studies and reports. The usual loan period is four weeks, which can be extended. New additions to the collection are shown in the monthly Book Ends listing, which is included in evey other issue of Central Notes newsletter.
The Centre's Catalogue is searchable online, with an online request function. Catalogue search help is also available online or contact us at infocentre@central1.com if you need further assistance.
Check the InfoCentre annual reports page for the current and past years annual reports of Canadian financial institutions and credit union system organizations. The Centre also keeps paper copies all B.C. credit union annual reports, and many from other provinces. The print collection also includes reports from central credit unions, all major Canadian banks and many other financial institutions. These reports are for use within the Centre only.
